NTOPWA CROWNED GOSHEN CITY CHAMPIONS

Blantyre women  based team Kukoma Ntopwa Women's team are Champions of this year's Goshen City Women's Championship in 3 - 2 win on post match penalties against Silver Strikers ladies. 


Kukoma Ntopwa Women's team were first to score on 14 minutes in the first half through Kondawo Banda and Silver Strikers ladies Fc started pressing had but the first half ended 1 - 0, and in the second half both teams had several chances but failed to convert but 84 minutes Silver Strikers ladies equalised through Ireen Khumalo. The match ended 1 all draw that forced the match to go on post match penalties.

And on post match penalties ended 4 - 3 as one Silver Strikers ladies player missed her spot kick to crown Ntopwa Champions.


After the match Ntopwa Women's Football team coach Osman Jomo thanked her charges and almighty God for helping them to clinch the cup.

Mzuzu City Hammers has appointed Steve Nkwinika as club's new head coach. This development comes after Hammers recently parted ways with their former coach Kondwa Ikwanga who guided the team to Castel cup final of just ended season. Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Wanderers former players have organised a two nation derby tournament slated to take place on  1 and 2 march. This tournament format we shall witness two derbies as Blantyre rivals Maule and Manoma will go head to head in a mouth watering matches and also the Zimbabwean counter parts they will also play their own Harare derby. Speaking to ex-bullets players who were also present at a meeting Raheem Ishumael "when we were starting this committee many people labelled it as a failure but we are now able to organise matches and we fit and ready for the tournaments but we just call help from sponsors and well wishers". This development keeps on improving as we witnessed another Blantyre derby last year before TNM super league started.
