FLAMES OFF -TO TUNISIA

This morning Malawi football team The flames taken off via Kamuzu International Airport to fulfil their fixture against Tunisia.


After a disappointing defeat against Namibia, Malawi is off to Tunis to take on group H leaders Tunisia.

The flames has dropped some players in the trip due to different reasons like Gabadinho Mhango and Charles Petro have been dropped due to injuries obtained when playing with Namibia at Bingu Stadium while Bullets trio Chawanangwa Gumbo, Wongani Lungu and Chikumbutso Salima have been dropped due to technical reasons

.

Malawi will take on Tunisia on Monday in a group H match in World Cup qualifiers campaign.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets newly appointed coach Peter Mponda has named his backroom staff. Mponda has named Gilbert Chirwa as his first assistant coach, Fischer Kondowe as second assistant coach. Meanwhile, Victor Mphande has been appointed as goal keeper's trainer, Noel Kaole as fitness trainer,Zicco Mkanda as striker's trainer, Chimwemwe Nkhoma as physiotherapist and Enerst Vitto as security officer. MZUZU CITY HAMMERS BRINGS YOUNG BLOOD GAFFER

Mzuzu City Hammers has appointed Steve Nkwinika as club's new head coach. This development comes after Hammers recently parted ways with their former coach Kondwa Ikwanga who guided the team to Castel cup final of just ended season. Nkwinika will have alot of work to do as Hammers finished in the top 4 of just ended season. Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Wanderers former players have organised a two nation derby tournament slated to take place on  1 and 2 march. This tournament format we shall witness two derbies as Blantyre rivals Maule and Manoma will go head to head in a mouth watering matches and also the Zimbabwean counter parts they will also play their own Harare derby. Speaking to ex-bullets players who were also present at a meeting Raheem Ishumael "when we were starting this committee many people labelled it as a failure but we are now able to organise matches and we fit and ready for the tournaments but we just call help from sponsors and well wishers". This development keeps on improving as we witnessed another Blantyre derby last year before TNM super league started.
