ASCENT ACADEMY DOMINATES TOPIK SISTERS IN A CONVINCING VICTORY

Ascent Academy stunned Topik Sisters in a position 3 battle in Goshen City Women's Championship at Chiwembe Stadium.

Ascent find consolation as they were butted out in the semi finals against Silver Strikers ladies, but coming on Saturday afternoon Silver Strikers ladies Fc started the match a very exciting performance as they find their opener through Faith Chinzimu on 12 minutes and the first half ended 1 - 0 in favour of Ascent academy, coming in second Ascent academy raised their performance that lead to score 5 goals through Leticia Chinyamula, Marriam Mnenula, Fatima Kali and Leticia Chinyamula bagged hattrick.


Ascent Academy Coach Andrew Chikhosi was very impressed with his players performance and he expect to do better in the coming tournaments as they finished on third place.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets newly appointed coach Peter Mponda has named his backroom staff. Mponda has named Gilbert Chirwa as his first assistant coach, Fischer Kondowe as second assistant coach. Meanwhile, Victor Mphande has been appointed as goal keeper's trainer, Noel Kaole as fitness trainer,Zicco Mkanda as striker's trainer, Chimwemwe Nkhoma as physiotherapist and Enerst Vitto as security officer. Mzuzu City Hammers has appointed Steve Nkwinika as club's new head coach. This development comes after Hammers recently parted ways with their former coach Kondwa Ikwanga who guided the team to Castel cup final of just ended season. Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Wanderers former players have organised a two nation derby tournament slated to take place on  1 and 2 march. This tournament format we shall witness two derbies as Blantyre rivals Maule and Manoma will go head to head in a mouth watering matches and also the Zimbabwean counter parts they will also play their own Harare derby. Speaking to ex-bullets players who were also present at a meeting Raheem Ishumael "when we were starting this committee many people labelled it as a failure but we are now able to organise matches and we fit and ready for the tournaments but we just call help from sponsors and well wishers". This development keeps on improving as we witnessed another Blantyre derby last year before TNM super league started.
