SCORCHERS REVERSED THEIR FORTUNES

Malawi women's football team the Scorchers managed to retaliate their first friendly loss to Copper Queens by smashing the 3 - 2 in a match held a Reiz Park in Lusaka, Zambia.

The host started on a high note and they managed to find the back on the net on 6th minutes from Rachel Kundananji connection following a ball that hit a cross bar from a thunderous shot taken by Zambian defender Martha Tembo. The Scorchers responded well in first minutes of second half with a goal from Rose Kabzere.


The Scorchers worked another magic on 56th minutes that also resulted in a goal from Faith Chinzimu and two minutes later the Scorchers scored another goal to comfortably lead by 3 - 1 , thanks to Sabina Thom's effort.

After some changes made by Copper Queens coach Nora Häuptle brought Mercy Chipasula who provided an assist to Nachulu's  80 minutes goal.

The game ended 3 - 2 in favour of Malawi Scorchers.
